TFFS Model United Nations (MUN) was held in the school premises on November 07 - 09 2016. The MUN is designed to create awareness among students regarding current affairs and international relations. The initiative has been taken in providing the students with a platform where they can hone their diplomatic and debating skills.

This year 10 renowned schools of Kolkata participated in our MUN : 1. The Heritage School, 2. Joseph & Mary's School, 3. Garden High School, 4. Mansur Habibullah School, 5. Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar, 6. South City International School, 7. La Martiniere for Girls, 8. Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, 9. Sri Aurobindo Institute of Education, 10. Calcutta Boys School.

There were two committees that were formed this year. UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL (UNSC)and UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY (Disarmament and International Security Council).

For the UNSC the agenda was : Threats to International Peace and Security by acts of Terrorism.

For the UNGA (DISEC) the agenda was: Protection, Progression and Promotion of areas affected by civil unrest, which have led to conflicts.

The 3 day MUN session hosted by our school and chaired by an Executive Board comprising of students of Jadavpur University and Presidency University was extremely enriching for the students. In the UNSC, High Commendation was won by Debanik Mukherjee (Class 11), Special Mention was given to Madhu Shruti Mukherjee (Class 10) and Ujan (Class 12).

In the UNGA Honourable Mention was made for Angira Bhattacharjee (Class 12), Saswath Menon (Class 12), Rwitobroto Mukherjee (Class 11), Indranuj Ray (Class 11), Hindol Nandy (Class 11), Ahelee Das (Class 11). Somudra Chakraborty (Class 12), Agnijo Dutta (Class 10), Yaajnaseni Sarkar (Class 9) and Debaleena Ghatak (Class 9).

Best Reporter Trophy was won by Ishan Dey (Class 12). High Commendation(IP) by Anuparna Chatterjee (Class 11). Special Mention(IP) by Rohit Roy (Class 12). Best Photographer Trophy went to Adisri Goswami (Class 12), High Commendation (Photography) went to Adreesh Sen (Class 12), Special Mention (Photography) went to Soumanas Sarkar (Class 9).

It must be noted that in the UNGA, the Best Delegate trophy was won by Suvayan Sengupta and Rahul Das of the Heritage School; High Commendation went to Ishita Mundhra and Yashodhara Bhalotia of La Martiniere for Girls, Saksham Dalmia and Vanshvardhan Chomal of Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Special Mention went to Ahan Chakraborty and Sarbajit Dutta of Garden High School, Satakshi Chakraborty and Jayati Jain of Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar, Shubh Singh and Kaustav Das of Calcutta Boys School.

In the UNSC, the Best Delegate trophy was won by Ritansha Banerjee of La Martiniere for Girls, High Commendation was received by Shatadroo Dutta of the Heritage School, Special Mention went to Rohan Lodge of Lakshmipat Singhania.
