The Future Foundation School hosted a painting and flower arrangement competition in order to commemorate the 77th Birth Anniversary of Smt. Joya Mitter, the very charismatic Founder Principal of The Future Foundation School and Founder Secretary of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture. Shrimati Joya Mitter or Joyadi to her countless admirers, amalgamated in her personality all the artistic facets associated with grace and aestheticism. This inter-school painting competition was held on 2nd February 2013 in the school premises at 3, Regent Park, Kolkata. Around 50 students Students of 9 reputed schools came together in this grand event. The art papers, prizes and certificates pertaining to this competition were sponsored by Camlin India Limited.
Acclaimed and renowned painters Mr. Atanu Bhattacharya and Mr. Partha Dasgupta were present to evaluate the colourful paintings of the budding painters. Venerated painter Mr. Debabrata Chakrabarti and Ms. Dipti Chakrabarti graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour to encourage the participants and give away the prizes.
This grand event was drawn to a fitting conclusion through the presentation of a cultural programme put up by the students of The Future Foundation School. The program was compered by Ms. Mousumi Nag. Speaking at the concluding session, Mrs. Shikha Guha, Headmistress of Arun Nursery School, outlined the significance of the day and the rationale behind organising a painting competition to mark it. She also thanked the participating schools, the Judges and the Guest of Honour and all those who contributed towards the successful organisation of the event.
