Sri Aurobindo's Birthday and India's Independence day was celebrated through a day long programme at Sri Aurobindo Nilaya, Santiniketan.

Flag Hoisting, Collective meditation and reading from Savitri was held in the morning.

Rabindrasangeet - songs from the 'Puja' and 'Swadesh' sections was presented by Ankan Roy, Ritapa Bhattacharya, Madhuja Chattoraj and Shranaya Sengupta, in the evening. They were accompanied by Aagnik Chatterjee on the Tabla

The artists were felicitated by Abhijit Bajpai and Sambit Sinha

The day ended with prize distribution for recitation and declamation competition held earlier in the month
