Ladies and Gentlemen :
I welcome you to this 31st Annual General Meeting of your Institute and present before you the Audited Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2006 for your approval.
The Annual General Meeting is held on the birthday of our Founder Chairman, Sri Pradyot Kumar Bhattacharya (Pradyot da).

Homage |

The Institute paid homage to Sri Aurobindo on his 133rd Birth Anniversary on 15th August 2005 and to The Mother on her 128th Birth Anniversary on 21st February 2006.

We lovingly recollect our Vice-Chairman, Sri Manindra Pal who passed away in Pondicherry on 24th July, 2005. Manager of Gloria Land Farm, Manindrada was intimately linked with the dynamic evolution of our Institute. A lot of the planning and execution related to our school children's annual Pondicherry trip was done by him. He was instrumental in bringing our second Chairman Dyumanbhai to Lakshmi's House after a stay in the Ashram for sixty long years.
With deep regret we recall Sri D P Chatterjee, who passed away on 20th January, 2006 at Kolkata. He was a member of the Working Committee, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture and Rector of The Future Foundation School. The members of the Institute and Teachers, Staff & Students of the School mourned him. May his single-minded dedication to the school and institute continue to inspire us.
We also recall Sri Sanjoy Kar, a working committee member for the last 30 years, who expired in February 2006. His contribution to the Institute, particularly in the formative years, is fondly remembered.

Collective Meditation is arranged around Sri Aurobindo's Relics twice daily.
Acknowledgement
The Institute conveys its heartfelt thanks to all individuals who directly or indirectly help in the efficient running of the various activities by actions and prayers.
