Shakti Centre was started with The Mother's Blessings on 14.Nov.1968.

Shakti Centre is the cultural unit at Lakshmi's House. Following its rich tradition, Shakti Centre offers classes in music, dance and painting.

Initially, the principal aim of Shakti Centre was to address the need for empowerment of women – specifically by imparting cultural education and attempting to provide insight into our rich cultural heritage. Over the years, the centre has widened its base to include not only women, but also men and children from a broad spectrum of society.

Tutorial classes are offered by Shakti Centre with an attempt to work on the self-study habits of children in an environment less structured than the formal classroom, guided and supervised by regular school teachers, whom the children are already familiar with.

Various Co-Scholastic and Physical Education Activities are conducted by Shakti Centre to promote all round development in children.
