4-Sep-09 Musical Programme Dedicated to the Memory of Gobindagopal Mukhopadhyay

The Programme was dedicated to the memory of Late Dr. Gobindagopal Muklhopadhyay.

Honourable Governor of West Bengal , Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi, was the Chief Guest and spoke on the occasion. A composite cultural programme followed comprising eminent artists like Pandit Arun Bhaduri, Shrimati Purabi Mukhopadhyay, Shri Asish Bhatacharyya and and Shrimati Swastika Mukhopadhyay.

Shri Ranjan Mitter, Secretary of the Institute, while welcoming the Chief Guest, highlighted the days singinificance and cited the long association of this Institution with Gobindagopal Mukhopadhyay and Madhuri Mukhopadhyay.


Shri Gandhi recounted his interactions with Gobindagopal Mukhopadhyay on a number of occasion. He also expressed happiness and showed interest in the multifaceted activities of this Institution.

Young children of Arun Nursery also performed in this day to celebrate Foundation Day of Arun Nursery School.

Amongst other dignitaries some family members of Dr. Gobindagopal Mukhopadhyay graced the occasion.
