Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture organised a series of Inter-School competitions featuring elocution, essay writing, declamation and quiz on 31st July, 2009 to commemorate Sri Aurobindo's 137th Birth Anniversary. Year 2009 was the 25th year of this event

Apart from the host school, The Future Foundation School, thirteen other schools participated totalling to 184 participants. The schools are:

3.Hirendra Leela Patranavis School
4.The Modern Academy
5.National High School for Boys
6.National High School for Girls
7.Vivekananda Mission School
8.Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapeeth, Narendrapur
9.Modern High School for Girls
10.St. Thomas' Boys' School
11.St. Paul's Boarding and Day School
12.Narmada School
13.St. Joseph and Mary's School

The Judges for the various categories were:
1.English Elocution: Smt. Meena Banerjee and Smt. June Dutt
2.Bengali Elocution: Sri Jagannath Bose and Smt. Bijaylaxmi Barman
3.English and Bengali Declamation: Dr. Gautam Neyogi
4.Hindi Declamation: Sri Yogendra Thakur
5.Quiz Master: Sri Parnab Mukherjee

The event was a huge success.
