InaugurationThe week-long event comprising of a variety of cultural programmes was inaugurated by Dr. Karunasindhu Das, Vice Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University and a person of acclaimed erudition on ancient Indian languages and literature. While welcoming the Chief Guest, the Secretary of the Institute, referred to the inspiration that this organization has always derived from Rabindranath Tagore. In an absorbing and intellectually enriching speech, the Chief Guest expressed his hope that Rabindra Bharati University and Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture, named after two of the finest minds of Bengal and India, will find ample opportunities to work together in the days to come.
The inaugural session ended with a short cultural programme put up by the students of The Future Foundation School.

December 23, 2009 : Recital by Sandipan Samajpati
The artistic talent of this young musician was in full evidence in his superb presentation of Khayals in Ragas Madhubanti and Hamsadhwani and the concluding Bengali Ragpradhan composed by late Sangeetacharya Pandit Tarapada Chakraborti. The able support of Pandit Anadagopal Bandyopadhyay on the Tabla and Sri Hiranmoy Mitra on the Harmonium contributed to the harmony.
December 24, 2009 : Jugalbandi by Pandit Arun Bhaduri and Anindya Bandyopadhyay
The Joint Presentations of these two mature performers in Vocal and Sarod rose to lofty heights of creative excellence. The artistes presented Ragas Madhubanti and Khambaj in Aalap, Jod, Gat and Jhala. Sri Tarak Saha on the Tabla and Sri Gaurab Chatterjee on the Harmonium played their parts with aplomb.
