09.Dec.05 - Visit to Cancer hospital
|
|
|
|
The children visited the Cancer Hospital and brought a smile on the faces of the young
cancer victims. They presented a group-song and dance and distributed fruits and food packets to the
inmates of the Hospital.

17.Nov.05 - 24.Nov.05 - Training for Adult Education Program
|
|
|
|
The children participated in a training programme to develop skills
for conducting Adult Education Programmes.
Prof. S Chakraborty from the Resource Centre of West Bengal, taught the children the
approach and process of teaching adults from economically-backward sections.

04.Oct.05 - Celebrating 'World Elders Week' at Behala old-age home
|
|
The children presented various performances organized by 'Help Age India' to entertain
the senior citizens of Behala old-age home.
|
|
17.Aug.05 - Celebrating 'Rakhi' at Cheshire Home
|
|
|
The children visited Cheshire Home to tie 'Rakhi' to the physically and menatally-challenged
inmates of the Home. The children also sang a few songs and distributed food-packets.

09.Aug.05 - Literacy Camp - 'Each One Teach One'
|
|
|
|
|
Every Tuesday, after school hours, the Interact Club Members, assisted by the teachers,
conducted Adult Education Programme for the supporting staff of the School.
|
|
09.Aug.05 - Tribute to Smt. Phulrenu Devi
|
|
|
|
|
15 Interact members, along with 3 teachers and the Principal , visited Smt Phulrenu Devi to pay a tribute to her on the anniversary of
"Quit India Movement Day". The students presented her with a khadi saree, sweets, fruits and 'agarbatti'(joss-sticks).
They also sang songs and recited a poem.

08.Aug.05 - Lending a helping hand to 'Swarnirbhar'
|
|
|
|
The members collected old school uniforms for distribution to 'Swanirbhar', which runs a school,
named 'Shiksha Mitra', for the socially backward children.

17.Jul.05 - Medical Campaign at Charu Market Police Station
|
|
The children, accompanied by a teacher, assisted Rotarians in the 'Naba Disha' project - a medical campaign - at Charu Market Police Station.
|
|
08.Jul.05 - Celebrating 'Ratha-yatra' at Atma Vikas School
|
|
The Interact members, accompanied by teachers visited 'Atma Vikas', a School for under-priviledged
children, with a 'Rath', food-packets and gifts. The children also organized an
art competition for the 30 kids and awarded 3 prizes.

05.Jul.05 - Visit to 'Navanir' - old-age home
|
|
|
|
|
25 Interact members, along with 2 teachers , visited 'Navanir' - an old-age home with 43 inmates.
The students presented a Bengali drama - 'Abak Jalpan', sang songs to the accompaniment of a synthesizer and
recited poems. There was an interaction with all the grannies, including those who were confined to
the bed. Food-packets were also distributed.

05.Jul.05 - Donation to S.O.S. village
|
|
Interact Members collected Rs. 5896.75 for donation to S.O.S. village, who provide shelter to orphans.
|
|
04.May.05 - Canteen Sale for raising funds
|
|
The Interact members organised a Canteen Sale to raise funds for Club activities. This also
helped in imbibing team-spirit and developing organizational skills.
