Waste-segregation - Nature Club of T.F.F.S.

Waste Segregation The members of the Nature Club segregate the waste gathered in the school on a regular basis. Three bins are placed in the corridor in each floor of the school:
  • Red for Non-biodegradable waste
  • Green for Biodegradable waste
  • Blue for paper waste

The non-biodegradable waste from the red bins is handed over to the Kolkata Municipal Corporation for suitable disposal.

Paper-waste collected in the blue bins is used for Paper-recycling.

The bio-degradable waste from the Green bins is dropped into the vermicompost pit in the school for Vermiculture.
